History

Merville was a propeller manufacturer created in 1919. Although Merville was known for its propellers, it has also built some gliders, like the SM30 which has made its first flight on July 2nd 1957.
It was followed by the SM 31 which made its first flight on January 11th 1960. Only one unit was produced.

Its fuselage and tail planes are common with the AIR 100. But the cockpit and the wings are new. The wings are laminar type and are equipped with flaps and fins.
