History

Half light aircraft, half glider, the RF 3 is derived from the prototype RF 101 which made its first vil on May 6, 1960.

This single-seater aircraft with a generous wing makes it possible to take off and fly like a conventional aircraft, then to stop the engine and glide when the aerological conditions are favourable. The engine is derived from an automotive unit and has a special in-flight restart system.

95 RF 3 were built. They were mainly used in sailing clubs for training and reconnaissance of courses. The engine that makes it possible to get out of trouble and to seek better conditions elsewhere.

On this same formula RF 4 to RF 9 were built, both in France and in Germany, before production went to England.
