After several failures, Henri Mignet built the HM-8 Avionette in 1927. The description of the aircraft was published in the newspaper Les Ailes in 1928. The was flight of an homebuilt HM-8 haken place in Angouleme on May 21st 1929.

In 1930, Mignet published its book “Comment j’ai construit mon avionette” (“How I built my Avionette”), providing to all its drawings and advises to build and fly an HM-8, launching the homebuilding movement in France.

About 200 HM-8 were built before WWII. Some of them are still in airworthy

Our HM-8 came from Escatalens (Tarn-et-Garonne) in 1986.

Gathered for years by our association, the collection includes many aircraft (aircraft, helicopters, gliders) but also a large amount of various aeronautical equipment (engines, dashboards, ejection seats, missiles, …).
